¾ High
An athletic shoe whose upper height is lower than a high-top and higher than a mid-top. The Nike Air 40-40 GD shown below is a "¾ high" shoe. (To me, this shoe is as high as a high-top in front, but lower in the back.)

40-40

⅝ High
An athletic shoe whose upper height is lower than a high-top and higher than a mid-top. I (Charlie) am not sure of any specific standard that distinguishes this from any other shoe height (such as ¾ high), other than it sounds good in the mind of the marketers.
