Memories - Nike Vandal

Around 1984, Nike introduced the Vandal canvas high-top. I remember this shoe for two features:

  1. A removable Velcro ankle strap.
  2. Very good arch support.

Nike Vandal Leather high-top shoe: white with anthracite SWOOSH, anthracite and gray ankle strapWhile the originals (at least what I remember) were canvas, some of the reissues were leather.

Nike Vandal Supreme high-top shoe: metallic silver with red and black SWOOSH, (red, black, and gray) ankle strapNike also created versions with nylon uppers, under the name "Vandal Supreme." Nike also did low-top versions when they reissued the Vandal, although the strap on them was a spat strap around the midfoot.
