- Zipper
-
An alternate closure
device sometimes used on sneakers. Probably not as prevalent as Velcro.
-
- Zoom AIR
-
A variant of Nike
AIR where the AIR bag consists of two parallel fabric layers, connected
with a large number of small fibers, and inflated with AIR. When compressed,
the AIR in the Zoom AIR unit provides cushioning. When recovering from
compression, the small fibers limit the amount of expansion. Zoom AIR provides
a thinner AIR unit than would otherwise be possible. Appears to be the design
in US Patent 4906502.
